About Us

Are you the parent of a young child aged newborn through kindergarten? Then Strongsville Early Childhood PTA (SECPTA) is for you! SECPTA (formerly the Strongsville Preschool PTA) is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of activities for its 50+ member families that are supportive, social, informative, and fun. Membership includes activities such as local children's outings & activities, play groups, crafts, story times, educational events, theme parties, and social events for moms, dads and couples, plus national PTA membership benefits.

SECPTA is a local unit of the Strongsville PTA Council, and Ohio PTA and National PTA. We are not affiliated with any specific preschool or day care facility. SECPTA is open to all local community members with young children. Strongsville residency is not required. We welcome families of any race, color, national or ethnic origin.

The doors open at 6:45 for sign-ups and socializing, at 7:15 PM there is a speaker or special theme event, and business is conducted at 8:00 PM. Members often go out after to socialize. Refreshments are served and all are invited to attend; young children are welcome. The SECPTA Board meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at the Strongsville Library (map) at 7:00 PM.  Board members and Committee chairs should attend each meeting, and all other members are always welcome.
